Conditions Permanent Brain Test

Conditions:

Participating programs: - GambitTiger 2 under the ChessPartner-GUI, 96MB hash
- Shredder Paderborn under the Classic-GUI, 100MB hash
- Junior 7, 100MB hash; because of the known opening book bug in Junior 7 GUI here Junior 7 plays under Junior 6 GUI but of course with Junior 7 book
- Hiarcs 8, 100MB hash
- Chessmaster 8000 with Selectivity=10 as UCI-engine with the Kostick-book under Shredder Classic, 32MB hash
Unfortunately Fritz 7 cannot participate because the permanent brain cannot be disabled.
Level and testing period: 60 minutes per game per player will be played. I have setup 20 games each match (I am considering changing the PCs after half of each match = after 10 games, but it will depend if this is practical senseful), each program vs. all other programs. This leads to a total amount of 200 games a 2 hours = 400 hours / 24 hours per day = 16 2/3 days testing period, multiplied by 3 (for each run, see overview) the total testing period will be 50 days. Each program plays 80 games per run. Start is/was August 19th 2002. Place: Haltern, Germany.
Used hardware: - AMD Athlon XP1800+ (real 1533MHz); Board: Elitegroup ECS K7S5A; 320MB SD-RAM; Windows 2000 professional; Fritz 7.0.0.8-Mark: 1104 (787knps)
